The standards we hold in every She Leads AI space, so this stays a community where women can learn, build, and lead together.
Members, guests, speakers, and any participant in a She Leads AI space, whether virtual, in-person, or online — including the Society, CREATE Conference, AI Academy, the AI Governance Community of Practice, and Social Saturday.
Message Anne or Kate directly with what happened, who was involved, and when it occurred if known. All reports are handled discreetly and respectfully.
No. She Leads AI records sessions officially and posts replays in the Mighty Networks library. That recording protects everyone in the space.
This Code of Conduct applies to all She Leads AI spaces — membership, events, sessions, and any initiative hosted by or affiliated with She Leads AI (including the Society, CREATE Conference, AI Academy, the AI Governance Community of Practice, Social Saturday, and more). It covers members, guests, speakers, and any participant in a She Leads AI space, whether virtual, in-person, or online. By participating in any She Leads AI space, you agree to uphold these standards and help create an inclusive and supportive community.
She Leads AI is a space created by and for women. We center the leadership, insight, and lived experience of women in AI and related fields.
Within that, we are committed to building a respectful, harassment-free, and inclusive environment for all participants — across race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, nationality, and age.
We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form.
Communicate with Respect — Speak clearly, with curiosity and care. Ask questions, challenge ideas, and offer feedback while maintaining respect for others.
Direct Dealing — If you have a concern with another member or with She Leads AI, speak directly to the person involved. If you’re unsure how to start, you can ask Anne or Kate for support. If your concern involves harassment, come to Anne or Kate first — direct confrontation is not required.
Assume Positive Intent — As listeners, we assume positive intent and ask for clarification before forming judgment.
Inclusive Language
Appropriate Content
Cross-Platform Consistency — Maintain these communication standards across all platforms, including social media and live events.
Social Media Communication — Sharing concerns on social media without first seeking direct resolution does not align with our community standards. We expect members to address issues privately and constructively before posting publicly.
The She Leads AI team works hard to build a space that supports meaningful connection and growth. We ask that participants engage with staff the same way we ask you to engage with each other — with respect and care.
Disagreement is welcome. Unkindness or repeated demands are not.
These agreements apply to all She Leads AI sessions and events — virtual and in-person.
If you’re unable to meet these agreements, we encourage you to watch the replay.
Clear Agreements — When collaborating, create clear agreements about responsibilities and expectations.
Honor Commitments — Follow through on the commitments you make. If you agree to join a project or speak at an event — follow through.
Transparent Communication — If something changes and you can’t meet an agreement, let your collaborators know promptly in the channel you’ve been using — DMs or Mighty Networks.
Time Respect — Be punctual for meetings and events. Come prepared and respect the agenda and flow.
Keep RSVPs Updated — To help presenters prepare, update your RSVPs as your plans change.
Space Consideration — Be mindful of how much space you take up in discussions. Make space for others to contribute.
Being a participant in She Leads AI gives you access to private conversations and a growing library of community-created resources.
Community Content — Do not share internal content externally without explicit permission from the creator.
Attribution — You will be influenced by the women around you — this is a desired effect. Always credit who you learned from when sharing ideas or content externally.
Honoring Others’ IP — Respect the intellectual property rights of community members. Do not present others’ work as your own.
Permission-Based Sharing — When in doubt, ask before sharing screenshots or quotes from the community outside this space.
Solution-Oriented Approach — When raising concerns, suggest a next step. We’re here to improve together.
Learning Mindset — Focus on progress over perfection. Share early, and be open to feedback.
Supportive Feedback — Give feedback that’s specific and constructive.
Respect Boundaries — Do not send unsolicited messages promoting products or services.
Ask and Offer Thoughtfully — Use this space to share events and opportunities. If you’re hiring or looking for collaborators, post here.
Protect Privacy — Do not share another member’s contact info or personal content without permission.
Confidentiality and Attribution — Do not repost internal content externally without permission and proper credit. Avoid screenshots or quotes without explicit consent.
She Leads AI is an AI-first organization. We use AI tools in our session preparation and community support. We are committed to being transparent about how those tools interact with our community.
How She Leads AI Uses AI — We use AI tools to support our work and serve participants better. We do not use member content or personal data to train AI models without explicit consent.
Participant Responsibilities — Do not use content from She Leads AI sessions or community spaces as AI training data or as inputs into AI tools without explicit permission from She Leads AI and the individuals involved.
